Irish I may, Irish I might, have the best St. Patrick’s day insight

Did you know that St. Patrick’s Day is the traditional day to plant peas? Farming folklore says this is also the day to plant cabbages. To bring good luck to your family, the folklore says to plant cabbages in your pajamas….. And Baby Riddle has the best pajamas for this activity! I kind of doubt anyone is looking for specific pajamas to wear during the cabbage planting season, but just in case, Baby Riddle is fully stocked with all the St. Patrick’s day loot.

Birdie Bean just dropped two collections that celebrate St. Patrick’s day. This particular collection is colorful, festive, and versatile. Both collections have plenty of green, so you wont have to worry about getting pinched.

Now you have all the green gear you need,

let's plan activities for St. Patrick's Day!

This year, our family is going to do a little more than we normally do for St. Patrick’s day. We are all fans of corned beef and cabbage, so that will definitely stay on the menu. This year, I found a great dessert recipe that we will all be in “a-green-ment” to try..... Shamrock Pie!

We love a freezing cold shamrock shake from McDonald’s, but we appreciate homemade treats even more. I am excited to give this pie a whirl.

This recipe has only six ingredients and you can make it in less than 5 minutes!

(2) 3.4oz Instant vanilla pudding mix

2 Cups cold Milk

8 oz. Cool Whip thawed

16 drops green food coloring

½ tsp peppermint extract

Store bought graham cracker crust

Instructions:

In a large bowl, mix together the pudding mixes and the milk until well combined.

Then add the cool whip, the mint extract, and the green food coloring.

Pour the mixture into a premade pie crust.

Refrigerate until completely set, about four hours or overnight.

Serve with whip cream and a cherry.

Have fun this St. Patrick’s day! Try a new Irish recipe, make a leprechaun craft, plant a bushel of shamrocks, visit your local Library and check out books to read to your little ones, and/or visit https://www.theirishroadtrip.com/virtual-tours-ireland/ for a virtual tour of Ireland. Whatever and however you choose to celebrate St. Patrick’s day, have fun and enjoy your family. And please, do not forget your green clothing!
